Hi all!! I am kinda new to networking and I am having this problem that I need to fix. I have a web server and a localhost that work together to perform data entry. Now we have some development that is being done offshore. Every time they login to the web server and do updates to the web pages or the database the server trips and stops. Well, actually the router stops. And then when I restart the router it starts working. But not for long. There is no other computer connected through this router. I am lost and cannot find a solution to this. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Check the Router timeout! Possibly you need to set to 0 so it doesn't drop the line! Check the connection status and logs for CRC errors possibly on the line! Try a spare Router if you have one! Try a test to keep the line busy all the time and see if it stays up, do a large file download etc. See if you can replicate the problem on another PC as may be a faulty NIC! Hope this is of some help! good luck..
