my client lost a folder with some files in it from a share on their 2003 server. Volume Shadow was not enabled at the time. I tried R-Undelete and RecoveryFix, and neither even show that the folder (let alone the files) even existed. Is there any way to recover the folder with files?? I did search the database online and was unable to find any helpful info. Would be greatly appreciated if someone would give some direction, if not the answer. thanks!

How about booting the machine with a Live CD?
Do that after you look in the recycle bin.

files and folders deleted via the network are gone. They never show up in either the users or servers recycle bin. Only way they would not be is volume shadow copy or 3rd party undelete software installed before you needed to recover the files.
file or folder recovery would have to be done as soon as possible from the time of deletion. Otherwise those clusters are overwritten due to disk usage especially on a server with high activity.
