Hi all. I have a static IP address (195.137.21.249) and a DNS server 'holly.oshearing.co.uk'. The static ip as shown above is directed directly to 'holly' whos local IP is 195.168.1.22. Holly is running Windows 2000 server with SP4 installed and DNS up and running (as far as I can tell). I've used nslookup on another system whos DNS server is set to the 195.137.21.249 and all seems well as it sees the DNS server there (also no obvious domain issues). Now obviously I'm new too this so do please say if there's anything that sounds odd here! Right here's the problem. I'm trying to direct www.oshearing.co.uk to this home DNS server holly.oshearing.co.uk. I do however get the error: 'The real host IP for DNS holly.oshearing.co.uk does not match the IP you entered (195.137.21.249)' This makes some sense, but any idea of what I could do to get over this problem? Just for information I do have the system sitting in a DMZ at the moment so no firewall etc. should be affecting any settings (hopefully) - Thanks in advance
