I just setup a Windows 2003 server. Not primary server. Win 2K is the primary server. Any folder I create shows as a Read-Only. I remove it but does not work. How do I clear this up? It's driving me nuts. Thanks.

That's not what I'm asking.
Are you saying the files have a Read Only attribute, or are you referring to NTFS file permissions?

Every folder and files has the Read-Only attribute. I create a new folder and it has the read-only attribute. The setting to remove Read-Only is there, I can uncheck it but this has no effect.
Don't know if you are still having this problem, but I found an answer here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/256614/EN-US/ I have no idea why this would be a default way of doing things. Annoying.
