I am using RDP with the /console switch to login to my server. When I leave the server doing something and close out the connection by pressing the X. When I try and come back and remote in the login box doesnt come up, or sometimes it does and i type in the password and its a HUGE delay and will sometimes not even login.

Help!
PLease!

Have you tried it without the /console switch?

Good point Curt. Parky, why are you using the console switch? When you disconnect (as opposed to log off) a Term server session, rdp takes a screen shot of the session and caches it on the local system as an encrypted bmp (although it doesn't really use the bmp extension). The only things I can think of is your internet connection to the TS is slow, or the disk activity on your local system is really high and it can't pull the cached image fast enough. Maybe also suspect the nic driver if experiencing any other network issue.
