All of the sudden I am getting this lengthy message out of the blue and i cant figure out why?? Domain policy is correct/domain controller policy is correct. Here is the message:
"To log on to this remote computer you must be granted the allow log on through terminal services right. By default, members of the remote desktop group have this right. If you are not a member of remote desktop users group or another group that has this right, or if the remote desktop user group does not have this right, you must be granted this right manually."Any input would be appreciated

I assume you are getting this message when you try to logon to the server. Are you logging on locally or through a Terminal Services session? If you are logging on through TS - which it sounds like you are - try checking the permissions on the terminal services connection. You will do this on the server.
Open Terminal Services Configuration. Right click on the connection you are connecting to (by default there is only one) and select Properties. Click on the Permissions tab. If the user account you are trying to logon with does not have permission to do so based on the list on this tab, that would cause the error you are seeing. Other things could too, but check this first.

thanks for the quick response, I tried permissions on the RDP connector but that didnt work either, they were already there and i added my user account just for the heck of it - no luck.
Remote Desktop is enabled
Default domain policy has administrator in the "allow logon through terminal services"
Deny logon is not defined
administrator is a member of "remote desktop users"
Thanks again for the input.
