Comment:

I am attempting to set up a personal exchange server on my server (running 2003).
I know I need to set up active directory, but I am having trouble.
Some backround info, i use dynamic DNS from No-ip.com to send network traffic to my house.
When trying to set up DNS server I get the error The test for dynamic DNS update support returned:
"DNS bad key."

I created server.xxxxxxxxxxx.com for my server through no-ip but I keep getting the issue. I am using comcast and do not have a static IP which is why I use no-ip.com. What do I need to do to get server 2003 to not have an error? Your help is appreciated.

Reply:

ms dns points to itself as well as the workstations in its lan point to the ms dns server. not the internet.

in the forwarders tab you would put the isps dns server.
