Hi
I am trying to find some software to push an installation file *.exe into all our client windows XP pro machines, can anyone recommend. I have tried before to convert a *.exe file to *.msi and using active directory to publish it but not very successful in converting a working *.msi package, any ideas much appreciated.

You could look at 3'd party software like Altiris (a subsidiary of Symantec). We use that where I work to push software out to client PC's.

Curt, we use that too. Started using Deployment Console which is really great.

you need the domain controller server + .msi installation package of deploying software, share a folder to network for everyone, copy somesoftware_setup.msi file to this folder, follow to Group Policy, add this .msi package for deploying (such \\server\software\somesoftware_setup.msi)
So now, when workstations are logging in the deployed software will be automatically installed on it.

I know but some programs that I have downloaded are not *.msi package and I have tried some conversion without success, so are there any free deployment program that can do *.exe deployment silently?
