hello all-

i am setting up a domain, and i would like to know how to publish a- printer attached to a print server, or even a printer with a built in nic- to a domain.

i have read that i need to attach a printer to a computer to publish it on a domain...say it aint so!!

is there any way to publish a print server to a domain??

The printer doesn't need to physically be connected to the WS2003 server, but you'll need to set up the WS2003 server as a print server. To be able to do this, the printer will need to have an IP address. Then you'll go to the server you want to act as the print server and install the driver for the device, and point it towards a TCP/IP port using the printer's IP address. You can also install drivers for other OS flavors. Then share out the printer.
