Hi! Once again, I'm here to ask your help. I have setup a Primary Domain in a Primary Server; and a Secondary Domain in a Secondary Server. This is the situation:
-A user will logon the Domain
-The Primary Server(Domain) shuts down
-The user logs out
Would the user would still be possibly log onto the same Domain? What should I do to make the user still logon with the Domain? 'Cause I think the Secondary Server has a role regarding this. What is it?

Thanks to all of you!!!

In an Active Directory environment, if you have two DC's and they both are configured correctly, should the first DC go down, users will still be able to login to the domain and be authenticated by the second DC.

I don't see what you mean by "secondary domain in second server"...doesn't really make sense to me. Do you mean you have two seperate domains or one domain with two DC's.

Thanks for all the help that you gave...I have successfully done it...I have one Domain but two Active Directories: the Primary and Secondary...The Secondary Server served as a Backup that when the Primary goes down, the users that are authenticated can still login...Thanks to all your help...

djones you are applying NT concepts to Active Directory.

If you don't correct your understanding of AD you will end up with a huge mess.

Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.
