Problems with scheduled backups?

Using backup on win 2003,i can do a manual backup ok.No probs.When i schedule backups here is the problem.If i setup a schedule a few minutes ahead,when the time comes,the backup screen pops up,but then closes within seconds and no backup is done.Going into reports i get the message"Cannot locate media or drive"??
