every once in a while my system will lock up either when i open up media player or my computer to get access to another drive just as an example. when i do an ctrl-alt-delete to go to task manager i noticed that explorer is using around 94-99 percent of my cpu. is there a way to prevent this from happening what could be the cause of this. i'm current with all the updates and the only applications i have installed are norton corp anti virus and ad-aware.

You will need to set up performance monitoring, and look at event viewer and maybe crash dump logs to find out what is causing it. It might be an unsigned driver or maybe you put cache settings on that drive or a bad computer or other software.
