OS: Win 2003 Server
CPU/Ram: xeon P4 dual processor 2
Comment:

We have just upgraded one server a P3 Dual processor with 1 Gig Ram and have just set up the HP Server.

When we connot both using the dual network cards we are unable to browse using the GUI.

We can browse using the command lien but we get an error message basically saying that we don't have permission to access the resource.

When we disconnect the network card which is recognized as network connection 2 in both machines everything works as it should.

If either machine has network connection 2 connected neither server can browse?

This has got me beat, can anybody give me some clues?

All NICs are part of a C-class network and all have the same subnet mask 255.255.255.0

Wow - that this 3 people in the last week or two with 2 NICs on the same subnet. This will normally not work unless there is special hardware support for sharing traffic on the NICs.

What are you trying to accomplish?

If you need 2 IP addresses on the same subnet for the same machine you should assign them to the one NIC and disable the other, if your after fault tolerance team the 2 NICs together and assign the 2 IPs to the virtual adapter the teaming software creates.....HP server usually have teaming software in their drivers if the NICs support it.
