Hello friends, I have problem in creating an user through Active Directory Users and Computers. As I had configured DNS and DC on Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition. When I try to make a user by providing "username and password", when I click on create button, one pop-up box with an error message come up as: Active Directory: Windows cannot set the password for user because: The password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the minimum password length, password complexity and password history requirements. Hello friends any one has solution to this problem pls let me know. Bi.

Try the password length longer than 8 characters, but in a meaningless way, with numbers/letters. Other than that, think this is a setting using GPO, not too sure of where, hope this helps

password: must contain be at least eight chatacters long and should not look like the following: username: john password: john1234 password: john.123 The password should not contain the user name a good example would be: username: john password: fisher.99 (no relation to the name and contains a synmbol and numbers) hope that helps best regards kerwin
