Hi everybody,

i have got 2 questions, i hope that i will
get help here as every time.

the first problem is that at one of the
servers(win 2003 server, for cash registers
system) the network printers go offline. or
it says access denied. the problem is that
the same printers work properly over the TS.
if i restart the server, it works for a while
but after a few hours, the same story is
repeated. also strange that opening Printers
and Faxes takes for ever. opening windows
explorer generally takes forever. i
downloaded some explorer fix but still the
same thing and i deleted spoolss.dll and
spoolsv.exe but still no success. can anybody
help me there?

the second problem is also strange. i always
used to create new users over the terminal
server. now suddenly it doesn't work anymore.
if i try to creat a user, i get an error
message "the specified domain either does not
exist or could not be contacted." the sysvol
is and can be seen, the netlogon too. still
having this problem. i always have to creat
the new user directly from the domain
controller all of a sudden. and one more
thing, if somebody try to log in from a fat
client, it takes forever, although anybody
loging in over the terminal and thin clients
works perfectly.

any help would be greatly apreciated. thanks
in advance

All signs your MS dns server is not configured correctly.

Workstation dns entry, does it point to the 2003 server running dns or the isp?

hi wandrer,

thanks for the reply. all the clients get the ip/dns info etc. over dhcp so i actually do not usually configure anything on a client other then adding it to the domain.
