Comment:

I have a user wanting to print to a shared printer on the network. The option to use letterheads in tray2 has been assigned through the printer settings on the server.

Now on the users machine, when the user wants to print - they are unable to change the tray number as it has defaulted to another and is greyed out.

Is there another way to fix the "greyed out" issue besides adding the group "everyone" (which by default is set) to manage printer/manage docuements ?!?!!?

Why don't you just add that specific user?

its not just for the one user - all users on site will need to have the ability to change the tray settings on that one particular printer....

is the only way to go about it setting the group "everyone" to manageprinters or managedocuements ?!?!

You can give everyone full rights to that one specific printer if you right click that printer and go to properties.
