Comment:

Does anyone know of a way to prevent systems that are not a part of the domain from accessing a file server.

Basically I want to make it so that if an authorized user brings in a laptop he won't be able to access the file server from that machine. Also, if a person reinstalls XP on there system, they won't have access until they rejoin the domain (so IP filtering and DHCP reservations won't work.)

If you are running active directory PC's and users not logged into the domain should be rejected.

They will still get an IP Via DHCP, but should not be able to access network resources.

If at first you dont fix it, Try harder!
