Right. So - the "high end" computer is running what operating system? And what software is being used to share its Internet connection?

You may not have installed software, but you are using software. Most likely XP's built-in Internet Connection Sharing software. You can find instructions for forwarding ports in ICS in Windows' help and support center, in the help topic titled "add a service definition".

Search for "add a service definition" in the Windows Help and Support Center.

Right, I opened up the properties and the advanced tag. I then enabled the web server service on the port my server is on. I add the ip address of my server and started the service. This is all done on my high end comp. Is the this sounding correct?

Assuming you entered the correct values for each setting, what you did is correct.

Keep in mind that there may be factors other than simply forwarding ports that can impede what you are trying to do. Firewalls (external or software), ISP restrictions on service ports, misconfiguration of your web server software, etc., could all potentially cause your web server to remain inaccessible from the Internet. So if things don’t work after forwading this port, take a minute to evaluate your network and determine if any of these or other factors could be involved.
