Hi all,

We have a Win2K Domain, which the 2003 Server is a member of.

I logged on the 2003 server and installed a database program as a domain admin. I could remote access to the server and run the program as domain admin just fine.

Now, I added one of the domain users to the local administrators group and gave him all the permissions to the directory where the program is installed. But when I tried to remote access log on to the server as that user (who is already a member of the local admin), I couldn't execute the program.

Any ideas? Thanks a lot in advance!

Please don't think me rude.. but are you insane? You never assign regular users to any admin groups.

You were able to run the program as a domain admin but not as a local admin. What does that tell you? Are there local users in a forest?

Highly advise you review the user setup and permissions for this database program. This should be well documented by the program manufacturer.

Imagine the power of knowing how to internet search
