I could not find the answer using the search so:
I want the performance monitor to create an event log item when the disk space reaches 80% utilization (20%) free space left. Now I am new to this but on the article i found here it seems like the logical disk -- % Free Space counter tracks KB free (based on the example from the article under the heading CONFIGURE THE ALERT item number 7: "For example, to trigger an alert message when disk space is under 1MB, type 1000") and not the actual percent of free disk space. Is this true? or if I place 20 int the Limit box will it create the event when the logical disk is below 20% free space or when it is under 20KB of free space?
Any links you have to help with this would also be great as it seems I may be helping the sys. admin out more often now.
