Hello, I have a simple network using a workgroup with windows server 2003 and 5 windows 2000 workstations. I have some shared files on my server where my workstations can connect and use those files. Until today I had no problem and now for some reasons I can't see none of my workstations from my server and I can't see the server from any of my workstations. It looks like the server is not anymore on the workgroup. I have tried everything but nothing helps. I checked the server and it is still on the right workgroup. The workstations can see each other with no problems but the server is gone and can't be accessed. When I’m on the server and when I double click on the workgroup name, there is nothing not even the server name. I also get a small window with a message on it and a count down from 36 to 0 and when it reaches 0 the server shutdowns and restarts. Very weird!!!! Any suggestion on this problem??

can you ping in either direction? also check your sitch/hub(and the nic on the server)

What does the "Small window with message" say?

Thanks a lot guys for your quick responses!! On this server, I have a FTP and a web server and I can connect to both of them without any problems. Regarding the small window, it does not show up every time. I will check today and post what this window says. Thank again for you help!!
