partitioning partition magic

I was wondering how to do a partitioning on win2k3 because tools like partition magic cannot be installed win2k3 server. Is there any partioning tool that runs on win2k3? or any other method? saru

Hey What's up, A lot of programs won't work on win2k3 unless you convert it to a workstation OS. Once you do this, it'll fool 2k3 as if the OS were XP. Though the OS was made primarily for servers, it can be done. For a guide on converting to workstation here's the site:

Volume manager run under DOS (Partition Manager too). The windows part is marginal. The core runs under DOS and it works. All what you need are this files (run from diskette or real DOS partition)

there is a drawback. Volume Manager is older than PM 8.0 and it has not support for ext3 linux partitions....but if you rename the file pqmagic.ovl (800k file) to vmdos.ovl and replace the original vmdos.ovl...you then have the best of two worlds...
