hi,
how much partition size do i need to keep for housing my boot and os files on c: ?
also considering for application of future patches and hotfixes from MS?
will 16 gb suffice?

any 2nd opinion appreciated

Depends on where you will be storing your page file but, that should be enough. Keep in mind that you can also install programs to a different partition than the system partition as well.
