OU Group Policy

i setup an OU called test and then added a test user. i also setup a group policy just for that OU and set it to force a password change after 5 days just as a test to see if it works but after 5 days of loggin in and out of the domain it never prompted me to change the password. Can this only be done from the top level domain in a group policy

when you say you are correct what do you mean however further to that email i logged in back to the domain and it asked me to change my password

Password policies for domain accounts are controlled by the domain level GPO's.
