Hi
In an exchange server 2003 how can I assign one email address to two different mailboxes (i.e two different user accounts) ?
I have got a client that is currently using a user account called "LMA" that got one email address associated to it , the email is : info@123.com
he decided to use another user account which is called : "LMA MANAGER " (more suitable to his position) which has one email address : manager@123.com associated to it .
He asked me that he wants on his new user (LMA MANAGER) account to be able to receive emails that addressed to both email addresses : manager@123.com and info@123.com
And in the same time emails addressed to : info@123.com to be delivered to his previous user account (LMA)
That means emails which are addressed to: info@123.com should be delivered to two different mailboxes (i.e two different user accounts, "LMA" & "LMA MANAGER")
How can I configure that ?
Thanks

You would like to use two Exchange accounts in the same mail client, is that right?
As far as I know it is not possible, unless you create a pop3-link to that account. You can only have one Exchange-account in the mail client, but you can have as many pop3 accounts as you like.Google on how to set up a pop3 link in your Exchange server, it shouldn't be hard to find.

>>Why not setup a distribution group? That is very common for a "info" email address.<<
Good idea , how to do that , if you have got (I know google is my friend) any handy link that shows step by step it would be great. Thanks

Yes two exchange accounts with same email address.

Setup a distribution group in Active Directory, Users and Computers...right-click and select new group, it can be a mail-enabled security group or distribution group, either way it's a group with an email address and add the members to it you want to distribute to....
