Ntbackup windwos2003 no log

I have got a big problem on ntbackup in windows 2003 server. i created a batch file for nt backup that works correctly. if i schedule this batch, the backup works correctly but after 3 or 4 days i get a blank screen in the log of ntbackup and in event viewer application there aren't any error. in system ther aren't any message. if i click on the batch the backup start and work correctly. why? could be shadow copy ? i have to disable it withe /snao:off switch? help!!
