No wallpaper in Remote Desktop?

OS: Windows Server 2003
CPU/Ram: 1.4GHz/2GB

I have changed and re-changed every group policy setting related to desktops but I cannot set a background wallpaper for any remote desktop user, including administrative users - the Desktop tab is available, but the only thing I can change is what icons are on the desktop - the word Background is greyed out and the list of wallpapers is unselectable. Has anyone seen this behavior?

I think it's that way by design. No reason to clutter up your network traffic with pretty pictures.

try loading remote desktop program, goto its otions, under experience check the box that says "desktop background"
