Installing Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition over XP. After the initial "Windows setup" blue screen, it gives the message: "Setup did not find any hard drives installed on you computer" ....."This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup program".
It sounds like I am missing drivers?? Or can I configure something in the BIOS??Any help is apprecited.
I have a Supermicro X5DAL-TG2 Motherboard and a Serial ATA DE110 Hard Drive.
i am new to this stuff so any help goes a long way. Thanks!

Begining of install hit F6 as stated and offer the SATA drivers on floppy as supplied by the motherboard manufacturer

Ok, seem to be having problems finding a specific SATA driver from the motherboard company, but they did offer a chipset download which I ran in XP. (bad move?)
Now when i run Server 2003 setup I get a blue screen:************************************************** *********
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps:
Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.
Technical information:
*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF88B663C, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
************************************************** *********
I hope I didn't screw anything major up.
Any suggestions??
Thanks

Same as before, get the correct drivers for your SATA drive (best place to start looking is the HDD manufacturer's web site) on a floppy and then hit F6 when it comes up during the install and put the floppy with the SATA drivers on it into the floppy disk....
