I have just installed stand alone Win 2k3 on my desktop PC. I have connected the desktop with a cross over cable to my laptop PC running Win XP. The Win XP is using a wireless connection to connect to the internet. Now I would like the Win 2K3 to share the internet connection via the cross-over cable through my laptop! I know how to do this for Win XP OS using ICS wizard but how can I achieve this with Win 2K3???
My second question is how can I install or what do I need before to install Active Directory fully running on my server?

since you are using your xp laptop to do internet connection sharing ... you already know how to set that up you say.
dcpromo is how you activate active directory. Read up on the subject before running dcpromo.

Thank you very much for your answer, somehow the internet aotumatically started working for the Win 2k3 server, I had to do nothing!!! Yes I will for sure look into dcpromo, but from experience I know I did this 2 years ago & it didn't work. So I am just skeptical for now. Thanks.
