I am planning on migrating to a new server I currently have an OLD P4 server I am getting a newer one soon.
Any way I can reserve formatting my clients or re-identifying them to the new server domain? I am totally new to this I did the server configuration from a microsoft site
my current server has a SATA HDD the new one will have RAID.

Bring your new server up. Dcpromo it to a domain controller and join the existing domain. This will replicate the users. Xfer the fsmo roles, enable the global catalog and install the applicatons you desire.
Then dcpromo down the old server and remove it from the network.
