hello,
i have two 2003 servers: A and B
A is the AD and DNS server
B is meant as a backup AD and DNS serverwhat i did:
install A as AD and DNS server
installed AD on Bwhat i want:
configure DNS on B as a secondary DNS server to Aproblem:
i followed this guy:
http://www.windowsnetworking.c...ce...but after installing the DNS on server B the zones were ALREADY there since im guessing AD was already installed.
now when i try to delete the existing zone on server B it warns me that:
DNS
Warning: This is an Active Directory-integrated zone. If you decide to delete this zone from the DNS server, it also will be deleted from Active Directory. The zone also will be deleted from all DNS servers that load this zone from Active Directory.
Click Yes if you want to remove the zone from both Active Directory and the DNS server.
Click No if you don't want to remove the zone.Yes No
"
i want to go with the wizard so it can be designated a SECONDARY server.any advice?
keep it this way and just allow zone transfers to server A?
