when i browse my network places, and check computers. some users have given their computer descriptions and their computer description come before their computer names, like if Description = "Michle's PC" & Computer Name = "IT_MICHLE", in My Network Places the shown as "Michle's PC(IT_MICHLE)" I WANT.............. it should show as IT_MICHLE(Michle's PC). HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?

hungrymind, I'd ask the users who display this arrangement if they could have possibly put their computer descriptions in the computer name box and their computer names in the computer description box.

If they renamed their PC's they would have to be in the admin group (the NW admin group as they would have to have permissons to create a PC account on the domain).

hungrymind - any chance you just have your columns reversed in your explorer view? That would certainly cause what you are asking about.
