Hi there,

small problem. I work at a school and naturally we lock down what our students can do with group policy. We have a problem that students can install USB devices, but it brings up a username and pasword box saying they need to be an administrator to install it. They dont as if they go into my computer, its there and installed, but i need a way to stop the security box coming up as they have all the permissions they need to install the devices.

All help is appreciated.

I personally don't do this at a GPO level but rather at a BIOS level but this has its draw backs because you have to go into the BIOS before you can mount an USB drive which makes it a pain but it solves the problem.
