MS Exchange Logs not Flushing

Comment:
We're running Windows 2003 SBS and Backup Exec 10d. We do full backups twice weekly.
The Exchange 2003 transaction logs are not flushing after a full backup using BackupExec. I've also done several full backups of the Exchange store using NTBackup, but that is also not flushing the logs. All backups finish without errors. I think this might have started a couple months ago when when I changed the logging on Exchange and turned off circular logging. We have transaction logs going all the way back to June of this year. I know how to manually check and delete the logs, but I need to get them to automatically flush after backups.

I know there is a setting in backup exec that you can check or uncheck to flush the trans logs. Go back through your scheduled job properties enable it.

Backup Exec is set to flush the transaction logs. I think it might be an Exchange 2003 or Windows SBS issue since both Backup Exec and NTBackup don't flush the logs.

I figured out the problem. One of the public stores was not mounted and so the logs did not get flushed with backups.
