Mapping an external usb drive.

Periodically, I have to install software and most of the sites have pcs in
the server room instead of under the desks. How do I map to the external hard
drive I have attached to the server so I can install the software on each pc?
The way I map to the c drive of the server is by entering the ip address and
then \c$ but I need to be able to map to the external drive letter as well.
Please advise. Thank you. Workgroups to do not apply here.

First, you would have to connect the USB drive and let windows "find" it and assign it a drive letter (for example Z:).

Once that's happened, you would then have to share the drive to make it remotely accessable.

Then, you would map to it the same way you're mapping to \C$
