Comment:

I want to backup files to a NAS device but backup
exec won't let me. It says that it can't find the file
specified. How can I map a drive to the server and
not a user account? I am hoping that will allow it
to see the resource properly.

Thank you,

You are kind of asking two questions.

To map a drive see help and support pages also. Should be something like this.

To connect to a network resource
Use this procedure if your computer is a member of a workgroup, and is not a member of a domain.
Open My Computer.
On the Tools menu, click Map Network Drive.
In Drive, type or select the drive letter to map to the shared resource.
In Folder, type the server and share name of the resource, in the form of \\server name\share name. Or click Browse to locate the resource.
Click Finish.
In the User name and password dialog box, in User name, type your user name if you are prompted.
In Password, type your password.
