Comment:

I have successfully setup mandatory profiles (win2003) with clients (win xp) set to autologon. However, in some areas of the campus, I continually get a "...cannot locate your roaming profile etc.." error.

If I set a an Interactive Logon message and wait approx 10 secs before pressing <OK>, the roaming profile is successfully located. I have not found any similar problems reported on the Web, except when using a wireless netw

Moving the same PC to a known 'good' area and the problem disappears. Immediately one suspects the one variable, that being the network switch. Is there some parameter within the switch that anyone can think of that I could check?

I have tried every conceivable GPO tweak to try and enable the profile to be located.

As a quick fix, does anyone know how i can force a (10 sec) suspension of the Intereactive Logon message?

many thanks
raymond
