Comment:

I've just installed Windows Server 2003's mail server onto my server and I have almost got it all working - email is received perectly, but when I try to send to an address outside my network I get a failure message saying:

550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for emailaddress@emailaddress.com

I sense this has something to do with DNS but I can't figure out what to do in order to fix it.

My connection to the internet is a broadband one with a dynamic IP, but I have a No-IP host and receiving mail works ok, just not sending it.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure that you allow the SMTP Server under IIS to relay (Properties >> Access >> Relay)

Yeah I browsed a couple of other forums and found that option. Enabled it and it works perfectly!
