Can anyone help me with how/where to find which client accidentally/or intentionally deleted 2 folders on our win 2003 server?
The 2 folders where present in the morning at approx 9a.m. By about 2pm in the afternoon the 2 folders have disappeared from the network server share. Atleast if I can know where to begin to look for the culprit client-id and prevent it from happening again.

you would have had to have enabled auditing on those folders for there to be a log entry in event viewer.
Might want to do that now for the next time. Might also want to invest in a server undelete program. Might also want to do a seach on those folders since they may have just been moved. Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

You could start by looking to see who actually has permissions to that share. You do have a backup, right?

Why invest in a server undelete program? Windows 2003 Server already has one... VSS.
Do you have the Shadow Copy Service enabled? If so, you could easily get those files back.
