When a user logs in to the domain there is only one policy that is running right now but it seems as if it's running twice? I have a logon script that maps some network drives and that's it, it runs twice for some reason. In the group policy management console it looks like this:
==============================
-Domains
-bhn.com
-BHN Desktop Policy (linked and enforced GPO)
-Domain Controllers (OU)
-Default Domain Controllers Policy (disabled GPO link)
-Group Policy Objects
-BHN Desktop Policy (GPO)
-Default Domain Controller Policy (GPO all settings disabled)
-Default Domain Policy (GPO all settings disabled)
==============================

any ideas why it would run twice? Thanks for the help

I had same issue. It happened when I created an OU for the users within my home network. Then I started seeing my netlogin run twice. I have one script copied over the the script location of the OU I created and one under the Domain Controller Policy.

In my case my username has Domain Admin rights and GROUP POLICY rights also. I remoted the NETLOGIN call from my profile and it doesn't run it twice anymore. From what I gathered it ran the script under Domain Controller policy and it also ran the one from the OU I created for my family members. Right now when I log in it's running only once and it's the script from the Family OU I created.

I will remove the script from the Domain Controller policy all together and see if what happens.

Just to let you know I removed the script from Domain Controller Policy location and just have the one under the OU I created. I logged back on and still running just the one script now.
So in my case since my userid has Domain Admin rights plus others, unlike my family members. I don't have to enter the script name in my profile. It will run it. Still gonna do more research on this.
