Hi,

This is a weird problem we have just starting getting. We are using Win2003 on server with AD and using Win2000 on desktop with SP4. For some reason, if I create a user under AD leave it a night to replicate over and then test the account I get the following error message when I try to log on to test the account:-

Windows cannot copy file C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local Settings\Application Data\PCHealth\ErrorRep\QSignoff\ to location C:\Documents and Settings\jbarclay\Local Settings\Application Data\PCHealth\ErrorRep\QSignoff\. Contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - Access is denied

I have no idea why it's starting douing it. We have not changed any policy's or desktop set-up's and I have tried creating two or three different account under seperate group OU's but still the same thing.

Any help would be appreciated.

i see this is a bit old ..

just wanted to say that im experiencing exactly the same problem in a laptop, recently installed with 2k pro sp4.

in this case theres nothing to do with AD, im simply trying to create a local user account and its unable to log in. the error message is exactly the same (but in spanish), same route except for the user name.

im currently playing with the permissions on documents and settings, but so far have had no luck :(

I´ve got the same problem and here is my workaround set a group policy that the machine
where the problem occurs should perform this batch line (Replace the Jeder with the pandent in your language)
cacls "C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local Settings\Application Data\PCHealth\ErrorRep\QSignoff\" /E /T /G Jeder:F

This is not a solvation of the problem but a workauround that works for me
BEst Regards
