I get this message when trying to access shares on my windows 2003 domain
PC from my 2K and winnt desktopsLogon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer
They can ping each other and both appear in the same
workgroup in network placesAll computers are in the same workgroup.
Please help me.

For NT use this.. 2k make sure your DNS is fine ... It should be less hassle..try to ping from a 2k PC a full qualidfied name to make sure your DNS is fine...
Add Users to the Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access Group by Using the Active Directory Users and Computers Snap-in
To add users to the Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access group:
Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Active Directory Users and Computers.
Expand the domain, and then click Builtin.
In the right pane, right-click the Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access group, and then click Properties.
Click the Members tab, and then click Add.
In the Select Users, Contacts, Computers or Groups dialog box, type everyone, click Check Names to verify the name, and then click OK.
Verify that Everyone is displayed in the Members list, and then click OK.
Quit the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in.

Add Users to the Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access Group By Using the Command Line
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type cmd, and then click OK.
At the command prompt, type the following line, where GroupName is the name of the group that you want to add, and then press ENTER:
net localgroup "Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access" GroupName /addFor example, to add the Everyone group, type the following line, and then press ENTER:
net localgroup "Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access" everyone /addType exit, and then press ENTER to close the command prompt.
