Local Policy on Domain Controller

I've in herited a domain with 2 DC's. One has a local security policy which I view through GPMC. However this policy does not show up in 'Domain Controler Policy' - and when I try to 'un-enable' this policy through GPMC the 'define this policy setting' tick box is missing. This local policy is replicating to all client machines and I want to remove this local policy and re-set a DC policy through the appropriate OU in ADUC. Please help....

Uhhh what? You can't have a "local policy" that is being pulled down to your domain clients. That would have to be a domain group policy.
Are you sure you aren't trying to manipulate the default domain group policy? If so, from what I remember, that can't be removed (I don't use the default domain policy since I manage several OU-based GPOs for various departments).
You might try starting a new post and make sure you're talking about a domain group policy object and not something else...
