Our network administrator has some method of changing the local admin password of every workstation in the domain. I am just curious as to how this is accomplished. Is this done through 2003 AD and GPO somehow, or is he likely using the logon scripts to accomplish this? (DesktopAuthority)

hmmmm....I have to wonder why you are asking that in here? The sensible, and logical thing to do would be to ask him wouldn't it???

For one, I do not hav the ability to contact the network admin, he is not at our location and I don't even know who is responsible. The changes are made at the state level. I asked one of the local network techs, and he did not know.

Dirty_Sanchez, anyone with ANY networking experience at all knows that it is ALWAYS a good idea to change your passwords on a REGULAR BASIS.
FYI, I was not the one trying to get the local admin password, since I have been granted full admin privileges through AD group assignment, I do not need the local admin password. My network account will suffice. I was the one who reported the abuse of power to the local level authorities who, in turn, passed it along to the state. Dont be so ready to jump to conclusions and make a personal attack on someone's integrity.
