Setup: server running win 2k3. workstation is running win xp. The IP on the workstation is manually configured. When the user attempts to log on to my *domain*, everything works. Roaming profile works. Everything went smoothly and super fast. However, things are different when I setup a DHCP server on my 2k3. I made the workstation to obtain IP address automatically. The DHCP worked; the workstation obtained the IP address from my DHCP server. However, when the user tries to log on to my domain, IT TAKES A LONG TIME to load the profile. why? Something wrong?
