Hi, I have a problem connecting to a proxy server on my network. My setup is as follows:
Win server 2003 with two NIC's. NIC 1 is connected to proxy server for internet access, and has IP 192.168.0.66. Proxy server is 192.168.0.65. NIC 2 is connected to Wireless Access Point with IP 192.168.2.30. Access point has IP 192.168.2.25. All clients are on wireless network, with static IP's of 192.168.2.x.
From the server, I can browse the internet just fine via proxy, and i can connect to any client PC via the wireless access point. My problem is that I cannot browse the internet from any client PC. I configured IE to use the proxy's IP, but it cannot connect to it. I cannot even ping the proxy from a client PC, possibly because it's on a different subnet, although i can ping the server's NIC 1 (192.168.0.66) from a client machine. i tried putting the clients and access point on the same subnet as NIC 1 (192.168.0.x) but that just made me unable to even connect to the proxy from the server. I cannot bridge the 2 connections because it would force me to change the IP's on NIC 1, which i cannot do.
Can anyone assist me in this matter?

In order to know if these two IP addresses are on different subnets, we need to know what subnet mask you are using. Without that info, we can't answer the question.

192.168.0.x has a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
192.168.2.x has a subnet mask of 255.255.240.0
I tried giving them the same subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 as recommended by someone, but still no joy.
