Hi all

I've just started administering a domain, and I am a complee newbie. Boy is this fun...

I'm reviewing our software licensing requirements, making sure everything is legal and above board. Can anyone tell me if there is a magic button that I can press that will tell me how many CALs I have, how many are in use and where?

The domain was set up by someone else, and although I assume there are enough CALs to go around, assuming isn't enough. I need to be sure.

Thanks in advance

Dave

it all depends on how you licensed your CALs. Might try looking here: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/...

and then once you figure that out you can maybe see what's your next step. Your best bet might be to just talk to the purchasing department to see how many were purchased...
