I am trying to keep the applications running on my server after I disconnect. But, if I disconnect and reconnect a short time later (10-15 minutes) all of my applications are closed.
I've tried adjusting these settings:
Terminal Services Configuration:
End a disconnected session: Never
Active session limit: Never
Idle session limit: Never
When session limit is reached or connection is broken: Disconnect from sessionAnd the same settings here:
Group Policy Object Editor under Computer Configuration & User Configuration
Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Terminal Services > Sessions
But nothing seems to work. How can I keep my session alive indefinitely? Am I missing some settings?

I'm researching the same problem. The only approach that works so far is to login as a console session through the command window:
mstsc -V:your_server_name_here /F - console
This will keep the applications running. However, only one console session can exist at one time, so this precludes using the console for admin tasks, which is the intended function.
Is there a configuration for remote desktop user mode that will keep applications alive after a disconnect?
