I'm trying to join a few macs here to the domain, but when i go into the active directory, it asks for the forest and domain names. I put in the info and it says that they aren't fully qualified domain names. it is a local server and the DNS is chartwel.local, what do i need to do to make these macs work??

I don't think you can add in a mac as a domain user. You should be able to share folders if a few things happen though. Pretty sure you need unix support and you need to relax smb in security settings.

hi there.

I have a lab full of Macs that connect to my Win2003
Enterprise server. If you choose to take the time to
configure the Mac for access, the easiest way to
accomplish this is to have 10.3.x on the Mac clients. Mac
OSX 10.2.x clients are trickier to connect. Here is a link
with some help for you...

Good luck!
