Ok, I am macintosh illiterate. I have a user who wants to bring thier mac laptop to work and work on the server.
1)How do I join a mac to the domain? 2)Do I need to load appletalk or something on the server? 3)Is this going to be a large pain in the butt? Should I just say "no"

I don't believe that MAC's join a domain but they can browse it and use it's resources. You give them an IP in your range, they can map a drive to the server and it should prompt them for a username and password and as long as they provide a valid one there should be no problem.
